She was lying in
bed, only a thin sheet covering her body. Her fingers tightened; she
pulled her knees up to her stomach then stretched out again. Her
hair spread out on the pillow, the touch of the silky blanket tickled
her breasts. The room was shimmered by the street lamp’s subdued
light; outside, the mist came down and peered through the open
window. The air was cool but still, Kate’s body was burning hot.
She felt it ignite when the shadow rose above her and she felt his
breath on her skin. He was tall and strong. With a single motion, he

relaxed, her eyes were open only a crack and her head tilted slightly
to one side. She was defensless. The shadow rose, then carefully
covered the girl’s slumberlike body. Kate wanted to say something
but no sound came from her throat. The shadow stopped in front of the
window, opened its wings and flew away like a vision. The girl’s
eyes closed.
There she was lying
in bed, only a thin sheet covered her naked body. Outside the fog has
lifted, the morning sun drifted into the room and pleasantly warmed
the girl’s naked body. Kate stretched along the bed; a faint smile
ran across her face.
“It was just
another dream”, she muttered aloud as she rose from the bed. The
mild summer breeze flipped through the window, danced across the room
and gently animating the white feathers and carrying them out again...
